World Trade Center or 110-story Twin Towers was designed by Minoru Yamasaki in the early 1960s. Its construction lasted over four years and was completed in 1971. They gave a beautiful view to New York City. I fell in love with them as soon as I have seen them. The view for the top of them was incredible! Since I became a New Yorker I loved to visit there, and always brought my guests there from other parts of the U.S. and from Europe. The happiest day for me was when my twelve year-old daughter, who came to visit me from Russia, watched the Fourth of July fireworks from the 110th floor of the WTS. It was amazing! We both had a great time. It was an unforgettable experience.

However, the occasions on which I shot the top of the World were not always happy. In the morning of September 11, 2001 I took last two pictures of the Twins from my window in Bayside. They both collapsed in 1.5 hours. I hate to look at those pictures.
