Garry Shirman, classical violist, jazz saxophonist, composer, was born on November 4, 1919 in Bucharest, Rumania. Along with Shiko Aranov he organized State Jazz Orchestra of Moldavia 'Bukuria' for a long time. Garry now lives in Brooklyn, NY.
